An ongoing series inspired by my studio in Vienna. Looking at the ground when entering the yard that leads to the building and looking out of the window, into the sky.
Daily business. I'm sitting on the couch during a break from work and scrolling through my Instagram feed. I see images of faraway places, sunsets behind mountain ranges, and white sandy beaches.
My windows face north, I never get to see the sun. Only the clouds passing over the roofs of the buildings in the courtyard. I open the window, stretch out my hand, feel the first raindrops falling.
One more reason to stay and paint another small picture.
